"Praise the Lord, Chosen Women!"

September is finally here -- just days until our Chosen Women Precious Jewels Conference! I am so prepared to hear and to receive all that God has for us on September 11-12, 2009. I am believing that lives will be eternally changed as salvation, deliverance and healing is manifested for God's people. Some have asked, and as with most of our events yes, men are welcome to come.

I need to know right away who is planning to attend, and who has booked a room at the Oxford Inn, our host hotel. Some did not mention Chosen Women when booking and we must add you to our list at the hotel. Please shoot me an email at [email protected] or call me at (661) 269-6280 to let me know. Also, look at the "Upcoming CW Conference" page for all the conference details.

Care Enough to Carry Another

James 2:14 -1 states, "What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works."

I was thinking about this scripture and some others that deal with our demonstrating the love of God one to another. In recent weeks I have had the honor and responsibility to stand with some precious daughters of Zion as they believed God for and stood in need of a miraculous and swift move of God. Sometimes major crisis and terrifying issues of life can come and overtake people that we know. What should our posture be when others are in need or are going through crisis?

One thing that we must remember is that the time to show love is not always convenient. Sometimes we are called upon to uniquely walk in the demonstrated love of God. People will often need us most right when we are most unavailable. We have OUR OWN things going on with OUR
OWN mate, OUR OWN children, OUR OWN church, OUR OWN job, etc. Literally the past 6-8 weeks have required me to walk with some of the King's elect through minefields that the enemy had set up to take them out. It was in these times found myself needing to really sacrifice myself to help someone else. Please do not misunderstand -- I am not trying to make a statement about myself. The Lord simply had me reflect on the thought of how many of us simply would not sacrifice ourselves to stand in the gap for another.

How many of us full of the Holy Ghost, tongue talking, baptized believers simply look the other way or make excuses when people require the gift that is within us? There is a precious woman of God with whom my husband and I have recently connected by God's design. This woman spends some of her prayer time committed to us and our ministry. From that sacrifice the Lord has given her words of wisdom that have greatly impacted our lives. We appreciate her sacrifice and her obedience to God. We recognize that her life is full and she has plenty of her own things to care and pray about. We understand that her time is precious -- yet she spares some of it for another to encourage us in our walk. That my friends is the love of God demonstrated towards us. Some people are not willing to give of themselves in this way.

We need to care about others more. Saints cannot be selfish. The Bible makes it so clear how we must treat one another:

John 13:34-35 ~ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Romans 12:10 ~ Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

Romans 14:13 ~Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.

Romans 14:19 ~Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

Galatians 6:2 ~Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.

Someone might just need our presence for an hour. Someone might need our smile -- our prayer -- our gift. Yes, we must be led by the Lord -- but the Lord has already told us in His Word to help others. This month's inspiration is not deep and philosophical. It is simply a message to remind us to care and to show the love of God. It is a reminder to be selfless and to press for others sometimes. We are all too busy with too much responsibility. Let us not be so focused on doing ministry and other things that we forget to take time to notice and be concerned about others in their fight as we likewise fight the good fight of faith.
