Praise the Lord, Chosen Women!
I pray that this is a wonderful week for each of you! I want you to know that you can scroll up to the top of this webpage and choose a tab to view highlights from the recent conference and/or to order your CDs or DVD. Now, to the blog . . . ___________________________ I wrote today's blog last night. After prayer and scripture reading this morning I erased that blog. See, I was mad when I wrote it. Last night I wrote what I felt. That is certainly not wrong in itself -- especially for a blog! It is just wrong for this forum. That's not what the Lord told me to write about on this website -- how I feel. He told me to write what He told me to write. Chosen Women is about Him speaking to His daughters to entreat us -- to exhort us -- to live better lives in Him. So last night's rant had to give way to obedience and self-control. The Word to which He led me this morning addressed my anger so I could see more clearly. Let me just share one of the passages with you. Job 12:15-17 (The Message) ~ "True wisdom and real power belong to God; from Him we learn how to live, and also what to live for. If He tears something down, it's down for good; if He locks people up, they're locked up for good. If He holds back the rain, there's a drought; if He lets it loose, there's a flood. Strength and success belong to God; both deceived and deceiver must answer to Him. He strips experts of their vaunted credentials, exposes judges as witless fools. He divests kings of their royal garments, then ties a rag around their waists. He strips priests of their robes, and fires high officials from their jobs. He forces trusted sages to keep silence, deprives elders of their good sense and wisdom. He dumps contempt on famous people, disarms the strong and mighty. He shines a spotlight into caves of darkness, hauls deepest darkness into the noonday sun. He makes nations rise and then fall, builds up some and abandons others. He robs world leaders of their reason, and sends them off into no-man's-land. They grope in the dark without a clue, lurching and staggering like drunks." This morning He had me in The Message version of the Bible -- and it read like a BEAST! My God! Simply said, "God is in control!" Anger's gone. I'm not sweating one thing. That's the power of the WORD! He's not anxious -- God's not worried. He has every single situation right in His sights. All I've got to do is rest in Him. So whether my thoughts are towards the spotlight nationally focused on the circus of leaders that are seemingly refusing to live the lives dictated by their ministerial vocation; down to the local individuals that want to hate on me and others like me because of who we are and how we stand -- I need not worry. God's got it. I am going right back to living a life of joy and peace in Christ Jesus. I am sorry that some of you will not allow the Lord to deliver you enough that people want to spend more than 5 seconds around you. Despite what you might think about that settled sister that you despise, her wholeness is not mystical. I can almost guarantee that she simply did the work it takes to be whole. Specifically she let Him teach her (and continue to teach her) how to forgive. She is not putting spells on people to make them love and bless her. She is doing what my cousin Shawna taught me through her mantra, "Staying blessable." Change is the key! And He can change you too! Let me tell you something ladies. It is important that you let the Lord deliver you. All of the unaddressed brokenness in you sometimes makes you nearly unbearable to be around. It can make you so negative. It can make you need too much attention. It can make you an exhausting individual to be around. It can make you fake. It can make you hyper- spiritual or annoyingly fleshly. Often you chose friends that are too weak to set you straight so they just tolerate your horrible behavior. The friends that do tell you about yourself, you dismiss them as jealous and won't fool with them. So you remain the same. You are so negative. Attacking everyone with your mouth. Talking about people under the guise of "joking." Full of the devil. Your own issues, low self-esteem and suppressed rage are what fuel all that you do. You are angry -- some of you at God. You do not feel like you deserve what you got in life. But you can't get help because you won't admit where you really are emotionally. That man beating you for years with his hands or his mouth -- or his lack of affection towards you because he had no affection for you or women at all -- that's what you are carrying. May I just be Chosen Women president today? Can we start out Monday addressing what you once again did not let God address on Sunday? Yesterday you shouted, you danced, you said amen -- but you did not let Him in another week. Went in and came out the same one more time. Too proud to fall out at the altar and cry out for what you needed. Not a performance -- a purging. The fact that you let your boys ravage your girls and did not intervene because of your husband's control -- that's what has your mind. The fact that you never finished school because you got pregnant is what is making you say to ladies like me who did finish that we, "Think we are better than you." No we don't. That's something in you . . . but it's not too late. Go back if you want to! The problem is that you are living a lie acting like it does not matter to you. IT DOES MATTER TO YOU! That's why your conversation and attitude are so venomous. It's not us -- it's you. Do yourself a favor and look in the mirror and tell yourself the truth about you. Start right there. Counseling is not anti-salvation. So many saints need counseling . . . do not be ashamed to get it. I'm a counselor. Get at me and I will make a referral for you. God sometimes uses that as a part of the process of deliverance. Do a Dewayne Wood -- Let Go and Let God! You don't have to stay in the state that you're in. September seemed like such a long time away when we first started announcing the conference . . . and now the 2010 Chosen Women Conference is just a few days away!
