Praise the Lord, Chosen Women!

Today all over the world believers are observing Good Friday. Good Friday is observed the Friday before Easter. It is a time that we commemorate the sufferings of our Lord, and His death upon the cross.

Many spend time in this season fasting and praying. Our church will actually spend the week of Passover (April 7th -- 13th) having nightly prayer and Bible Study, concluding with Communion and Foot Washing on Sunday, April 15th. Spending time reflecting upon the incomparable price our Savior paid for our salvation can only cause us to love and appreciate Him more. When we consider what our future would have been without His plan and sacrifice, we would be people most miserable. INSTEAD WE HAVE A HOPE!

If you are anywhere near the Pasadena/Altadena, CA area this Good Friday I personally invite you to attend the Women Didn't Run Good Friday Conference! The event takes place Friday, April 6, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Location: Abundant Harvest Christian Church, 2387 North Lake Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001. I will be ministering along with a roster of dynamic women of God. For more information click on the flyer to the right, or on the Events page of this website. Hope to see you there!

Praise the Lord, Chosen Women!

It is with Jesus' Joy that we announce Agape Apostolic Assembly (AAA) is formally launching the Agape Apostolic Assembly Women's Alliance, or AAAWA its Women's Ministry! As you probably know almost three years ago my husband and I founded AAA in Lancaster, CA.

For the past few years I have worked alongside my husband to support in building this work unto the Lord. Though I continue my life's passion of encouraging and ministering to women; I have redirected much of my ministerial effort toward the local church.

As we launch the AAAWA it is my endeavor to labor with the same tenacity and effort put into Chosen Women. Through that work we saw many saved, set free, and delivered. I believe that God will do even greater works through and with AAAWA!

We would love to have your support as we host our first event -- a March Prayer Meeting! (click flyer to the right) This event takes place this coming Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m through 12:00 p.m. at 348 East Avenue K-8, Suite C, Lancaster, CA 93535. We are encouraging women to get a sitter for those two hours -- leaving the washing and the ironing and steal away to be REFRESHED, ENCOURAGED AND CHALLENGED!

The theme for the event is "The Time is NOW!" (John 4:23) and our Guest Speaker is First Lady Wilma Yeargin of Rivers of Living Water Apostolic Outreach Ministries, Lake Los Angeles, CA. I am so excited to see this work launched by such a dear friend and sister -- Lady Yeargin is AWESOME and her ministry is DYNAMIC! You do not want to miss this FELLOWSHIP! Please send me a note to let me know if you are able to attend at [email protected]

Praise the Lord!

In this last post of 2011 I must share my heart with you. Some of you have been so faithful down through the years to review and receive my messages of love and inspiration. Some of you have even been kind enough to write and affirm the impact of these messages upon your life. I so appreciate your kind feedback.

For all of us, in obeying God, we must walk by faith. Sometimes we never really understand the impact of our obedience. Yet we must understand by faith that the impact is far-reaching and real. God declares in Isaiah 55:11, " . . . My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." We have to trust that Word, believe that Word, and stand on that Word -- even when we do not see the impact in the way that our flesh, our heart, our spirit or even our ego might desire.

In my work as a Family Counselor I know that I am impacting vulnerable families in positive ways. Some have actually transformed right before my eyes within the limited time frame of our connection. But more often I see very little manifestation of the impact in my limited time of working with that family. Still, I am confident that the words and teaching that I plant will produce a harvest. It might take the next vessel / teacher / counselor / therapist / pastor / saint / neighbor, etc., to stir what I planted, or water it, or cultivate it, or fertilize it -- but it will produce! I have no doubt. God has even been gracious enough to let me observe the transforming manifestation by running into some of them later; seeing and hearing the testimonies of change.

Why am I particularly writing this to you in this last post of the year? Because I need for that person who is stuck, waiting to be affirmed -- focused on having some experience to make you believe who you are. I want you to accept God's Word about your life as Truth, and MOVE FORWARD!

Since being delivered from my deathbed experience this summer I can say truly I am not the same person. I would imagine Lazarus was a different man after seeing Jesus raise him up. Though I did not go as far into death as Lazarus, I do feel a kinship. And as a result of that experience, I am completely different. I can literally never be the person I was before that journey.

God has simply been dealing with me in ways that I never experienced before. He is speaking to me in ways that are blowing my mind. And what He is sharing with me is requiring me to let go of all that I knew; and to embrace Him as the God of His Word.

He is giving me revelation in His Word of who He really is and what He really does! Not what the Bishops and Pastors and Evangelists shaped Him into being in my mind through their teaching and preaching -- but Who He really is. What His mind, the mind of Christ really looks like -- and what having that mind REALLY is. It is not a religious, limited, false way of thinking. It is not a false humility many of us were taught. It is not a lot of what has been presented to me, for sure.

God has literally been peeling layers off my mind to enable me to go forward. Many will not understand; but the liberty that comes with understanding makes even that okay. This newness makes being misunderstood even less bothersome.

So then today my hope for God's leaders -- and just now I realize that I really am writing to leaders -- my hope is that you are able to also let go and come into greater liberty. I do not want anyone to have to go through what I went through to get here. I hope you can just believe the report.

I encourage you to stop trying to prove something to anyone. Stop waiting for some experience to affirm you so that their discounting of you can feel rectified. Stop letting their former or even current words of slander impact your ability to go forward. Yes, I know you might be preaching and teaching and evangelizing -- BUT ARE YOU FREE? Settle on proving nothing to man; just prove all to God by fulfilling your purpose and going FORWARD! Stop focusing on your reputation; let God take care of that.

I realized recently that I was still angry at some people who slandered me and my husband with lies. I THOUGHT I WAS OVER IT! I mean I really saw it as old business and behind me. Still God sat me down and showed me how I was STILL waiting for them to call; bring us over and publicly apologize for their lying slander. I was STILL waiting for them to publicly restore us. REALLY?  I was so shocked when the Lord showed it to me.

Though my words said I did not care and I was over it -- He showed me I was still inwardly waiting! He told me let it go -- forgive them -- seek no retribution -- seek no vengeance -- give it to Me. Then He had me do something that I know only He knew to challenge me to do. HE TOLD ME TO LISTEN TO THEIR PREACHING ONLINE! Yikes!

That's when I knew it was really God because I had been unable to listen to them say anything for YEARS. I inwardly felt what could they have to say about Jesus after what they did to me! LOL Well, I sat in bed with my laptop and listened to each message one by one until I could listen without criticism, without anger, without hurt. That God directed exercise set me free. I'm not angry anymore. Jesus told me do not carry it into 2012 because it would block something of what He has for me.

I encourage you to seek the Lord in these few days remaining in this year. Ask Him to show you yourself -- for real. Do not take any old heartache, anger, resentment, envy, strife, rage, bitterness, hatred . . . take none of this with you. 2012 will truly be phenomenal. 2011 was for many testing by fire. 2012 will be manifestation of the processed change. His glory will be revealed in our lives. Our beauty for ashes will manifest . . . if we are ready. Old weights will hinder our readiness. I will let nothing stop me from getting in 2012 what I paid for in suffering in 2011. I encourage you to let nothing stop you either!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

_Praise the Lord!

I pray that you are encouraged this day in the things of the Lord, and your life in Him. Yesterday while in my time of fellowship with the Lord I found myself praying for the God’s People with Praise event scheduled for this Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th. I am so excited about attending what promises to be an awesome move of God.

After praying I spent some time in the book of Ephesians once again enjoying my Big Brother’s inspired writings about our life in Christ. God ministered to me so beautifully about His beloved bride. He told me, “Everything can and must praise Me – but My people’s praise is purposed praise! My people are ‘But God’ praisers!” That thing really blessed me! Here’s how our story goes – no matter what our individual testimony:

Ephesians 1:1-3 (NIRV)

1 You were living in your sins and lawless ways. But in fact you were dead. 2 You used to live as sinners when you followed the ways of this world. You served the one who rules over the spiritual forces of evil. He is the spirit who is now at work in those who don't obey God.

3 At one time we all lived among them. We tried to satisfy what our sinful nature wanted to do. We followed its longings and thoughts. God was angry with us and everyone else because of the kind of people we were.

But here comes verse 4 which reveals why we have become God’s People with Praise with just two words – BUT GOD!”

He could have left us in the state revealed in the former verses – but He just was not that kind of God! He had a plan, a purpose and a way of escape fashioned just for us! HALLELUJAH! Read on:

Ephesians 1:4-7 (NIRV)

4 BUT GOD loves us deeply. He is full of mercy. 5 So He gave us new life because of what Christ has done. He gave us life even when we were dead in sin. God's grace has saved you.

6 God raised us up with Christ. He has seated us with Him in His heavenly kingdom because we belong to Christ Jesus. 7 He has done it to show the riches of His grace for all time to come. His grace can't be compared with anything else. He has shown it by being kind to us because of what Christ Jesus has done.

God’s people are not ignorant of God’s grace and mercy towards us unto salvation! Some people feel that our praise is too uproarious, too radical, too loud, too long, too physical, too demonstrative, too emotional – too much! Those “some people” can’t be God’s People! Experiencing God’s grace and mercy gives God’s People a right, a desire, a mandate and a will to praise Him with everything we’ve got!

Paul takes in further in verses 12 and 13:

12 Before you believed in Christ, you were separated from Him. You were not considered to be citizens of Israel. You were not included in what the covenants promised. You were without hope and without God in the world. 13 At one time you were far away from God. BUT NOW you belong to Christ Jesus. He spilled his blood for you. That has brought you near to God.

Thank God for "BUT GOD," and for "BUT NOW!" That's why we praise Him!

If you are a part of the beloved of Jesus Christ then you are a part of God’s People with Praise! I encourage you to press your way to the event hosted by Rivers of Living Water AOM in Lake Los Angeles, CA this week. For details see the flyer on this page.

Have a blessed week in Him!

Praise the Lord, Everybody!

This week we look at the third and final installment of Strength in Weakness!
____________________________

In I Corinthians 8 Paul told us what our attitude should be if we have the mind of Christ. Look at verse 13. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Paul is not playing! He’s saying as long as the world exists I am going to do all I can to be righteous lest I become a stumbling block to another soul! Another version brings further clarity verse 13:

Therefore, if [my eating a] food is a cause of my brother's falling or of hindering [his spiritual advancement], I will not eat [such] flesh forever, lest I cause my brother to be tripped up and fall and to be offended.

Our topical scripture in II Corinthians 12 says our strength is made perfect in weakness, and that we glory in our infirmities. But why? The answer is in verse 9 . . . so that the power of Christ may rest upon us. We glory in our infirmities understanding that we are gaining strength in the spirit. We are growing big Holy Ghost muscles as we endure like good soldiers. I don’t know about you, but I want the power of Christ to rest upon me.

So then, what happens when we make a decision to embrace the mind of Christ? We see it best through the life of Jesus because He lived His life on earth as an example for us.

Acts 10:38 ~ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

God was with Him and God is with us. Our strength in God is going to be found by doing the will of the one who saved us and transformed us from creatures of darkness into creatures of light. Our strength is going to be renewed as we say yes to His will for our lives. Our strength is going to be made manifest as we put our own agendas and plans and visions on hold and get in line with what God has said our lives must be. It is time to be about our Father’s business!

When I was meditating on Word for today God began to tell me that some of the saints keep going around and around in circles – not able to transition into the next phase of their lives. I said, “Why God?” And He told me because they refuse to accept and embrace my way of doing things. They have a carnal mindset instead of a kingdom mindset.

They want to see provision before they move forward with my instructions. He said, “But I require faith!” They want to see it before they believe or move, but faith is the substance of things HOPED for – the evidence of things NOT seen.

He said, “That’s why they’re still waiting because they don’t believe Me for what seems impossible.” God said tell them you are going to keep waiting until I see some faith in operation!

Saints, I encourage you to trust God. Lean not to your own understanding. Submit to Him in your human weakness and be strengthened in the Spirit.

Jesus wants us to be going about doing the same things that He Himself was here on earth doing. He was our example! He was healing the sick, so He sent us forth to heal the sick. He was casting out demons, so He sent us fourth to cast out demons!

Mark 16:17-18, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

This week we continue with what God said is, “ . . . not JUST a Word for the local church – this is a Word for the body of Christ!” Now part two of Strength in Weakness!
_______________________________

STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS (PART 2)

Some people are moving forward in the THINGS of Christ without having the MIND of Christ. But I declare that before we go any further in the things of God (here meaning the work of the church) we should be sure that we have made a decision to fully take on the mind of Christ. I used to really enjoy this movie called Stuart Saves His Family. In the film Stuart Smalley used to speak of ‘stinking thinking.’ I want you to know that there is too much stinking thinking in the body of Christ. Well what is stinking thinking? Any way of thinking that conforms to or parallels the world’s way of thinking. The world’s way of thinking about things is exactly opposite of God’s way of thinking.

Isaiah 55: 8-9: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

WHAT IS GOD’S WAY OF THINKING?

Luke 6:27-38

27But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

28Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

29And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

30Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

31And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

32For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

33And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

34And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

38Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

People love to quote Luke 6:38, but rarely include all of the behavior listed in the previous verses that work along with giving to produce the good measure, pressed down shaken together blessing!

So many believers have bought into the devil’s lies instead of letting this mind be in us which was also in Christ Jesus. We have taken on a mindset that says, “I am not going to be weak. I am not going to be stepped on. I’m not going to be anybody’s doormat!” Won’t take down – won’t take low. Refuse to apologize. Saints nowadays say – I’m not going to apologize! I didn’t do anything that I thought was offensive so I’m not taking down. But what does the Bible say?

(next week the conclusion of Strength in Weakness)

Praise the Lord, Everybody!

I pray that you are now living your best life in Christ; walking by faith and not by sight. Do not let what you see inhibit you from making faith acts. Faith acts are faith filled responses to the Word and Promises of God. You moving in faith and moving upon your faith is the only thing that can cause you to please God!

Well, a few weeks back I ministered at a church in our city on the subject Strength in Weakness. God told me to bring it to our local church and teach the content. Right in the midst of me doing that at our Wednesday Night Bible Study I heard God say, “This is not JUST a Word for the local church – this is a Word for the body of Christ!”

I am going to share some of the transcript of this message over the next three weeks in hopes that you will read it, and then pass it on. There is a contagious infection in the Body of Christ . . . and we need a Blood Test!
_______________________________

STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS (PART I)

When I was preparing to minister a few weeks ago the Lord began to deal with me about this mindset that has worked its way into the body among believers. He told me there was an infection in the body of Christ.

God literally sat me down and gave me a lesson about it. He used an analogy of the body of Christ vs. the natural body. He showed me how sometimes we have an infection in our bodies, and do not know it because there are no recognizable symptoms. So we can walk around with something raging through our bodies; eating away at us. It is there zapping our strength – blocking our nutrients – wreaking all sorts of havoc, and we don’t even know it.

God told me that there is a deadly, contagious spiritual infection going around in the body of Christ that is attacking the minds of so many believers. And the saddest part is that there are no symptoms that are recognizable to them. They think they are doing just fine. They do not even realize that they have been exposed to this infection, and now they have slipped into carnal, faithless thinking and a worldly mindset that is hindering them from having the true mind of Christ!

The infection has caused them to subtly accept worldly ideology. The infection is blocking the Word that they hear on Tuesday or Wednesday or Sunday from ever taking root. Pastors are preaching and teaching themselves until they are tired but seeing no real change in the people. The people seem to take a step forward but the next week or two they are talking and acting the same old way like they never heard the Word of God!

God told me that certain infections in our natural bodies are not identified until we are given a blood test. A medical professional must draw blood, and the lab must test it to see if we are diseased. Well, my assignment today is to give you a blood test! You need to know if you’ve been infected so you can get delivered and get your righteous mind back!

It could be that someone right here in your local church has been exposed to the infection! It could be running rampant right in your home! So I said that our topic is Strength in Weakness. This phrase actually represents the mind of Christ. What the world defines as weakness is exactly what God uses to demonstrate His strength and power!

Let’s look at II Corinthians Chapter 12: 9-10.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Saints, we are not demonstrating strength when we respond like the world. We demonstrate weakness when our response to troubling issues becomes talking crazy to people; fussing and fighting like the unsaved; repaying every attack with our own attack; sitting up thinking about how to get folks back that do evil to us. Being strong in God can sometimes look like weakness to carnal men.

Jesus might have looked weak to carnal men when He endured the suffering and humiliation of His crucifixion.Yet through His act of ‘weakness’ God’s strength and power were revealed to the point of declawing death, hell and the grave AND purchasing salvation for us all!

Next week – Strength in Weakness Part II

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 119:71 ~ It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Some who are not aware of my last 4-6 months of 'Job Experience' might wonder where I have been. Quite literally at death’s door. I felt like I was perched on the edge of a pit of depression and despair, ready to tumble. BUT GOD! The Word of God, His promises towards me, and praying saints kept me here to live, love and to fight another day!

While in the test all I could do was hold on. I could not imagine being able to testify my outcome – I was simply in survival mode. I was literally holding on to Jesus with all my might. Now, on the other side of deliverance I can truly say that I understand and agree with the psalmist – “It is good for me that I have been afflicted!”

God has shown me facets of Himself that I never knew. I remember our Overseer Pastor Craig Mitchell Sherman giving an analogy of God being like the moon. The moon does not seem so big up there in the sky from our vantage point. We might even feel we can put our arms around it if we imagine like a child. But if we were able to get closer to the moon we would realize just how large it is and how it cannot be embraced at all. I realize that it is only in the drawer closer to God that we really sense His vastness. He is so much more than I ever imagined. He walked me through a journey of discovery. I learned more about Him; and He taught me so much more about myself. Today I am Stronger, Wiser and Better!

I do not know about the future of Chosen Women events. I am standing with my husband as First Lady of Agape Apostolic Assembly with a God mandate to help him build that church through the power of the Almighty. Yet I must still write to you as the Lord directs. He has directed that I speak this Word to you today. He has been ministering it to me for days and days.

God said to my faithful servants, this is your season of reward. God is rewarding faithfulness. Things for which we have waited many months, years and even decades will miraculously appear and overtake us in this season. Those that stayed true and endured hardship, scrutiny and even ridicule – look for God to bless your socks off both naturally and spiritually right in the face of all who doubted.

God said, too, that some rejoiced at that Word . . . but it was not for you. A few days ago God allowed me to feel His anger. It was so unsettling. He said, “Tell my people that some would rejoice at the Word I would give – but the Word is not for them!” He said, “There are those that attach my name to things that they call blessings; but I have not part with these things!”

God began to tell me that some people manipulate systems and straight out lie – then get around the saints and even in the church and testify of these supposed ‘blessings.’ God told me, “My blessings add no sorrow or sin. There is no deceit in My blessings!”

God told me that some have learned how to manipulate and lie. He said that is not a blessing. When we lie on applications; pretend that we do not have spouses in the home to gain advantage; claim dependents for whom we do not provide; misrepresent ourselves to governments, agencies and programs; make our own ways instead of waiting upon the Lord; rob God of His tithe or service, then pretend that we are blessed like the faithful – God said the profits of those deeds are NOT blessings. He said He is angered at the saints of God ascribing His name and will to self-made increase.

Moreover, God told me that He is about to expose those in the body that govern themselves in this way. He said, “You are going to begin to lose your ill-gotten gains. Your lies are about to be exposed. You are about to be removed from the programs and entitlements as you will no longer be able to demonstrate qualification.” God said He is going to make sure He gets His due because when we rob Him things in the home and in the homes of your children are going to break down, self-destruct and require the increase that you withheld from Him.

To those that qualify as the faithful, enjoy your pending season. God let me feel His pleasure towards you for your commitment to His service. For the others that He Himself described to me; I would recommend that you repent and stop pretending that our heavenly Father does not see all. It’s holiness or hell!
